About This Game ACROSS is a roomscale VR game, where you are tasked with a simple objective : cross the room. Each level has a start portal, an end portal, ... and things in between. You can count on two things to help you defeat each level : a glowing katana that cuts through everything and reflect projectiles, and a furry B.E.A.R. that you must protect at all costs. 25 levels - about 1 hour of playtime. Change the color of your weapon at will. Not a wave shooter : ACROSS makes you think and observe before acting (well, except for that one level). Roomscale VR : Makes full use of the HTC vive capabilities. ACROSS is played standing, and without pressing any button. 7aa9394dea Title: AcrossGenre: Action, IndieDeveloper:Jonathan Sprauel GamesPublisher:Jonathan Sprauel GamesRelease Date: 4 Nov, 2016 Across Free Download [portable] 4\/10Kept bumping into things.. Took me 67 minutes to clear all 25 levels. The game is geared more towards puzzles than action or fast reactions. It's a shame it's not tagged as such.Overall, I found the controls clunky, but people who enjoy puzzles might very well enjoy this. And it's not too expensive.. What the description does not tell you is that you need terrific reflexes and situational awareness to do all the blocking, dodging, and rapid movement you'll be doing. That wouldn't be so bad, except you also die in one hit.. Very nice little game. Little details--the way I can see and feel the light sword melt the ground, the way the fluffy physics of the bear make me want to protect it even more--stand out. That said, as of now, it does crash on me occassionally. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.. I enjoyed this for its unique use of room scale. The game requires you to move constantly, it feels very immersive.Unfortunately, I found level 10 impossibly hard. There's just so much to keep track of and so many ways to get hit. Sadly I had to walk away at that point. Wish I could have gone farther.I recommend it if you're up for the challenge. And have a big enough room to play in.
